Please contact the rooms within business hours 9457 7750 (+613 prefix) , out of hours leave a message on the answering machine or email Suzana or Daniela (Shane’s team) . For complex discussions and queries, these are always handled best at the time of consultation. For queries regarding Austin or Northern Hospital public patients , these need to be directed to the department secretary or the registrar on call.
Urgent medical matters and emergencies
Shane can be contacted during business hours through the rooms. After hours call can be made to Sutherland Ward at Warringal Private Hospital on 9274 1371/9274 1336 (or contact the Warringal switchboard on 9274 1300). If it is an emergency (i.e. you cannot wait for a response from our team) dial 000 or attend your local emergency department. If you are a patient of the Austin you can also call 9496 5000 or Northern Hospital call 8405 8000, in event of an emergency, the medical oncology registrar on call can be contacted through the hospital switchboard.
